The Landing Ship, Tank (LST) was known by its users as “large slow target”, “long slow target”, “large stationery target” (when beached), and “green dragon” when in green tropical camouflage.

About Us

The USS LST 393 Veterans Museum is a Michigan non-profit corporation, created to restore and preserve USS LST 393. LST 393 is one of only two LST’s (Landing Ship Tank) remaining from 1,051 built during WWII. The corporation is incorporated under section 501 (c) 3 of the Internal Revenue Code.

Tours 2021

Open: Tuesday through Sunday
(June 3 through Sept. 5 plus Labor Day)

Open: Saturday - Sunday only
(May 1-30, plus Memorial Day)

Hours: Tickets sold 10 am to 4 pm

Cost: Adults $10, Students $5
Under 5 Free
