At the USS LST 393 Veterans Museum, we do things a little differently.  Your entrance fee is actually a low-cost membership that gives you access to the museum’s exhibitions, programs, and events for an entire season.

Do I still need to become a member if I live out-of-state and do not have immediate plans to return?

Yes. Your USS LST 393 membership includes potential reciprocal benefits through both the Time Travelers network and the Historic Naval Ships Association (HNSA), connecting hundreds of museums, historic sites, and naval vessels across the country. Members may receive free admission, discounts, and special offers at participating organizations nationwide.

How much does it cost to visit?

Admission starts at just $15 through our Deckhand Membership. Your membership includes season-long access to the ship along with invitations to programs, lectures, and special events.

Do memberships include special programs and events?

Yes. Memberships include access to lectures, exhibitions, educational programs, and special events throughout the season, including the popular History Hounds Lecture Series, which covers Michigan history, military history, shipwrecks, and the Great Lakes. Higher membership tiers also include exclusive experiences and recognition opportunities.

Do you offer family memberships?

Yes. Our Boatswain Membership includes benefits for two adults and two children under 18. Additional children may be added for $5 each.

Why does USS LST 393 use memberships instead of traditional admission tickets?

We believe preserving history should be a community effort, not a one-time transaction. Memberships help support the ongoing restoration, maintenance, and operation of USS LST 393 while giving visitors the opportunity to return throughout the season.
